Turkic World and Outstanding Figures of Kazakhstan symposium held in Turkey
ISTANBUL. May 12. KAZINFORM - In Turkish province of Mugla, with the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan jointly with the University "Sytky Kochman" there was held the symposium titled "The Turkic world and the outstanding figures of Kazakhstan."
The province is known for tourist resorts such as Bodrum, Marmaris, Fethiye, located between the coasts of the Aegean and the Dead Sea and the Taurus Mountains. For four days, from 8 to 11 May, at the University of "Sytky Kochman" there has been a symposium in which the meetings were held on the following themes: "Abai Kunanbay", "Mukhtar Auezov", "Zhambyl Zhabayev", "Shokan Ualikhanov", "Ahmet Bayturynov " and " Korkyt ata. "
Presentations were made by politicians, representatives of international organizations, the türkologists known in Turkey and abroad, academic leaders, including the governor of the province Fatih Sahin, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Zhanseit Tuymebayev, Secretary General of the Turkic Council Halil Akinci, Mayor of Mugla Osman Gurun, ex-chairman of High Council of Ataturk Sadik Tural, professors Abdulvahap Kara, Ethem Figlaly, Pervin Chapan and etc.
During the event, speakers highlighted the role and contribution of outstanding figures of Kazakhstan in the history of the world, as well as the achievements of Kazakhstan's independence under the leadership of the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The governor F.Shahin noted the importance of this event for promotion of Kazakh leaders in Turkey, as well as the achievements of the country's independence. F.Shahin emphasized the role and importance of Kazakh literary world of science. He also noted the progressiveness of the Kazakh-Turkish relations, which reached a new stage of development after the official visit of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Kazakhstan and the Kazakh President's to Turkey in 2012.
Speaking of the leading position of Kazakhstan in the region, the governor concluded that "Kazakhstan-2050" Strategy is an example of a powerful leap into the ranks of the developed countries of the world.
In turn, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Zhanseit Tuimebayev informed the participants about the achievements of Kazakhstan's independence, the main provisions of the foreign policy initiatives of the President. The Ambassador thanked the organizers for hosting this important symposium. After informing the participants about the activities of the Turkic Academy in Astana, he invited Turkish scientists to take part in its work.
The event participants familiarized themselves with the photo exhibition about Kazakhstan. Overall, the event drew a wide public interest. Leading academic figures of the region have expressed a desire to visit Kazakhstan in order to further explore the cultural and literary heritage of Kazakhstan.
Within the symposium the Kazakh Ambassador had a meeting in Mugla Province with the provincial governor F.Shahin, Mayor O.Gurun, Secretary General of the Turkic Council H.Akyndzhy, rector of "Kochman Sytky" university, Mansour Harmandar and the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce of the region.
