Turkic countries should switch to industrial and digital integration

Addressing Economic Integration and Cooperation among the Organization of Turkic States: New Opportunities in Industry, Agriculture, Logistics, and Digitalization business forum, Chairman of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkic States and of the Presidium of Kazakh National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Atameken Kanat Sharlapaev urged a shift toward deeper economic integration, Qazinform News Agency reports.

Kanat Sharlapaev stressed that Turkic countries must move beyond trade to joint production chains and industrial collaboration as the goal is a breakthrough in the integration of the Turkic countries’ economies.

He said it is the time for specific projects with clear deadlines calling for a transition from raw material trade to industrial partnerships.

He emphasized the point at issue is the creation of a unified digital environment, reducing distance between producers and consumers, increasing transparency, and speeding up transactions.

He highlighted transforming transport routes into value-added zones through joint industrial sites and production facilities, acceleration of investment tools, including the Turkic Investment Fund.

Earlier. it was noted that businesses of OTS countries may gain access to 341,000 retail outlets in China.
