Turkey hopes to contribute to settling conflicts in Asian continent - A. Gul
ASTANA. May 25. KAZINFORM /Rassul Bahamov/ 'Next year Turkey will take over the presidency in the CICA. This is very important for Ankara. We hope to carry out this mission successfully and contribute to addressing the problems in Asian continent', Turkish President Abdullah Gul has made it public in Astana today.
According to Abdullah Gul, this year the CICA Summit will be in Istanbul. 'There are a lot of problems in the Asian region that in case of aggravation could turn into serious conflicts such as the Afghanistan situation, Iran's nuclear program, tension between India and Pakistan, Palestinian-Israeli and Arab-Israeli conflicts", he emphasized.
'All the named countries can gather and discuss the problems and ways to solve them at the CICA Summit in Istanbul', the Turkish President said.
