Turkey and Kazakhstan play historic role in new Silk Road creation - Abdullah Gul
ASTANA. May 26. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Turkey and Kazakhstan play the historic role in creation of a new Silk Road. President of Turkey Abdullah Gul has made it public during delivering a speech to deputies of the Kazakh Parliament.
"Turkey and Kazakhstan have the great role and historic responsibility in development of new transport, communication and energy corridors. In other words, creation of the new Silk Road which approaches Europe and Asia, the West and the East, and which will contribute to economic development of the countries of the region, their welfare", A.Gul said.
According to him, an important step for revival of the historic Silk Road will be completed after realization of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project construction with help of Kazakhstan.
