Treacherous weather grips Kazakhstan
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Meteorologists predict that inclement weather will persist in Kazakhstan today, March 12. Most regions of Kazakhstan will be battered by stiff wind, blizzard, black ice and fog. Only western and eastern Kazakhstan will enjoy weather without precipitation, according to Kazhydromet.
Wind gusting up to 15-20 meters per second is expected in Akmola, Zhambyl, Mangystau, Atyrau, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Pavlodar and East Kazakhstan regions. Fog will blanket parts of Almaty, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, Akmola, West Kazakhstan, Aktobe, South Kazakhstan, Mangystau, Atyrau, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions. It will be slippery in Zhambyl, Almaty, Kyzylorda, North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar and East Kazakhstan regions. Gusty wind will bring blizzard to most regions of the country as well.
