Transport Ministry plans to cancel tenders for airlines in allocation of domestic air routes

ASTANA. February 1. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ The Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications plans to cancel tenders for airlines in the allocation of domestic air routes. Minister Askar Zhumagaliyev has announced at a board meeting.
He informed that the Ministry plans to initiate development and adoption of the corresponding bill. According to him, there are many complaints from the deputies that Air Astana is a monopolist in this issue at present.
"It will allow to create competition in the domestic market and influence the quality of services, rendered by companies," the Minister said.
