Train crash kills 25, whereabouts of 26 unknown, 19 identified

MOSCOW. November 30. KAZINFORM The disaster of the Nevsky Express train killed 25 people, and whereabouts of 26 passengers is unknown, reported Minister for Emergencies Sergei Shaigu by the results of a meeting of the government commission on overcoming aftermaths of the disaster of the Nevsky Express train, Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.

"According to data of the Ministry for Emergencies, gleaned by the morning of this Sunday, 25 passengers of the Nevsky Express train were killed," he said.

Out of all the dead, 19 people were identified, said Minister of Health and Social Development Tatyana Golikova.

The minister explained to reporters that the difference between the Saturday and Sunday data (26 and 25 people) is attributed to specification of data, the work on which was conducted throughout the night. "We now go to the Ministry for Emergencies to find out everything up to the end. We were engaged in re-calculation throughout the night and asked all medical establishments to compare lists and, therefore, data are being specified," she said, Kazinform cites Itar-Tass.
