Toyota launches SUV production in Kazakhstan

BOROVOYE. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan has launched complete knockdown (CKD) production of the Toyota Fortuner SUV.
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev attended the launching ceremony of the Toyota Motor Co. project within the framework of the 27th plenary session of the Foreign Investors Council in Borovoye resort on Thursday. "I am confident that production of this assembly will conquer Kazakhstani market as well as EEU one. And we will enjoy long-standing and fruitful cooperation," President Nazarbayev addressed reps of Toyota Motor Corporation. Nearly 3,000 vehicles of the popular SUV brand are expected to be assembled at Kostanay-based SaryarkaAvtoProm plant annually.
