Total volume of basic fuel resources of Kazakhstan makes 35 bln tons of oil equivalent - V. Shkolnik
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The total volume of extracted fuel resources of Kazakhstan makes about 35 billion tons of oil equivalent, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Vladimir Shkolnik told speaking at presentation of international energy agency and program INOGATE and reviews of the energy policy of the Middle East, Caucasus and Central Asia held in Astana.
"The total volume of extracted basic fuel resources such as oil, gas, coal and uranium excluding the solar energy and wind makes about 35 billion tons of oil equivalent," V. Shkolnik said.
He also informed that the current annual volume of production of primary energy resources reached 400 million tons of uranium equivalent.
"Meanwhile, the domestic use of our state is 60 million of energy equivalent of uranium," V. Shkolnik added.
