Top managers of Kazatomprom arrested for embezzling 1.3 billion tenge

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Agency for Fighting Economic and Corruption-related Crimes (Financial Police) of the Republic of Kazakhstan has arrested top managers of Kazatomprom who allegedly embezzled more than 1.3 billion tenge.
Local court issued an arrest warrant for director of Syrdariya-zhoba Kurylys LLP R. Alibekov, managing director of NC Kazatomprom JSC V. Shevelev and deputy director of Kazatomprom-Demeu LLP S. Abdrazakov. An investigation was launched. The Financial Police refused to release other details of the case for legal reasons.
