Tom Loeffler wants Gennady Golovkin vs. Andy Lee fight
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Tom Loeffler, Gennady Golovkin's promoter, announced he is ready to arrange a fight between ‘GGG' and Irish professional boxer Andy Lee, Kazinform refers to Vesti.kz.
"Loeffler says he could put together a strong HBO-backed financial deal for Lee," Sports Illustrated senior writer Chris Mannix revealed via his Twitter. "Per Loeffler, Andy Lee could earn significantly more than he did for the Quillin fight - between $1.5 and $2 million." Recall that Andy Lee (32-2-1, 24 KO) clashed with former WBO World Champion, unbeaten Peter Quillin in the Barclays Center on April 11. The fight ended in a split draw. The WBO middleweight title was not at stake as Quillin missed weight. Lee made it crystal clear earlier that he is in no hurry to face the undefeated WBA middleweight champion Golovkin who will get back in action vs. Willie Monroe Jr. on May 16 in Los Angeles.
