Tokyo’s coronavirus infection cases top 200, daily record

TOKYO. KAZINFORM - The total number of new coronavirus infections in Tokyo topped 200 on Friday, a single-day record, the Tokyo government said, Kyodo reports.
The announcement came a day after Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expanded the state of emergency beyond Tokyo, Osaka and five other prefectures to the whole of Japan to curb the spread of the virus.
