Tokayev congratulates Golovkin on his induction into International Boxing Hall of Fame

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has congratulated Gennady Golovkin on his official induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, according Advisor to the President-Press Secretary Aibek Smadyarov, Qazinform News Agency reports.

President Tokayev emphasized that this historic event demonstrates the special significance of our legendary compatriot's legacy for global sports, as well as his significant contribution to promoting Kazakhstan's image and reputation on the world stage.

According to the Head of State, Gennady Golovkin is a symbol of Kazakhstan’s sporting glory and its ambassador to the international sports community.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence that the success story of one of the world's best boxers will continue to inspire the younger generation of athletes to achieve high goals.

Previously, it was reported that Gennady Golovkin became the first Kazakh boxer to be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Canastota, New York. His name now stands alongside icons such as Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather, and Manny Pacquiao.
