Tokayev chairs session of Kazakh Senate's Bureau

ANA. September 21. KAZINFORM Senate Speaker Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has chaired a session of the Bureau of the Kazakh Senate. The standing committees' proposals on the agenda formation of the regular session, which will be held on September 24, 2009, were considered; the Senate's press service reports.

 It is expected to consider documents, which make amendments to the current law on the issues of immunity of the state and its property, modernization of the activity of arbitration court and international commercial arbitration, improvement of the court system and fish industry.

 The deputies will discuss draft laws, which touch upon amendments to legislation on the issues of the food safety, forensic-expert activity and prevention of pseudo-enterpreneurship.

 Besides, the House will consider a draft Law "On ratification of the UN Convention on jurisdictional immunities of states and their property".

 The Kazakh Senate's Action Plan on tasks execution set by the Kazakh Head of the State at the opening of the Parliament's III session was established. There was defined the Senate's activity within the framework of implementation of priorities and tasks of the country's chairmanship in the OSCE in 2010.
