Tokayev calls on Kazakh MPs to pursue goals set in presidential address
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Senate Speaker of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has called on Kazakhstani parliamentarians to work actively on the fulfillment of goals set by President Nursultan Nazarbayev in the new Address "Nurly zhol - Path to the future".
"Most importantly, the new State-of-the-Nation Address aimed at ensuring Kazakhstan's sustainable development in the period of global crisis has sparked interest of international community," Mr. Tokayev said. The Senate Speaker noted that funds allotted from the National Fund in line with the "Nurly zhol" program will be channeled into further structural reforms in country's economy, development of infrastructure, support of entrepreneurship and wellbeing of the nation. He also stressed that parliamentarians should pursue strategic goals set in the Address as it is their main responsibility.
