Tokayev calls for new approaches to regional development in four regions

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held phone conversations with the governors of Atyrau, Zhambyl, Mangistau, and Ulytau regions, Qazinform News Agency has learnt from the press service of Akorda.

During the talks, the regional leaders briefed the president on key socio-economic development indicators in their regions and outlined plans for the upcoming period. They also reported on the implementation of the president's previous instructions.

Tokayev stressed to Serik Shapkenov, Yerbol Karashukeyev, Nurdaulet Kilybay, and Dastan Ryspekov that regional development requires new approaches and more effective management strategies.

The president instructed the governors to take concrete measures aimed at strengthening the economic potential of their regions and addressing social issues that directly affect citizens’ interests.

Tokayev also called for accelerating the construction of social infrastructure facilities for children and youth, children's rehabilitation centers, clinics, and hospitals. He emphasized the importance of continuing large-scale efforts under the nationwide Taza Qazaqstan (Clean Kazakhstan) campaign.

In addition, the president highlighted the need to maintain constant communication with residents and respond promptly to emerging issues. He also directed regional authorities to closely monitor environmental conditions and take decisive action against crime and deliberate violations of the law.

Earlier, Qazinform reported Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had held a meeting with Eduardo Menezes, Chief Executive Officer of Air Products.
