Tire plant to be built in Kyzylorda

"The new plant worth a little over 52 billion tenge will be constructed with the support of the Kazakhstani investment fund," head of the regional industrial and innovative development department Murat Imandossov said. "It is not clear how long the construction process will take, but we plan to commission the plant by 2016. Several potential investors have already submitted their proposals."

The plant is set to produce nearly 180,000 tons of tires per annum.
