Three persons injured in explosion in research institute lab in Tomsk

TOMSK. April 9. KAZINFORM. Three researchers were injured in an explosion in a lab of the High Voltage Research Institute in Russia's Siberian city of Tomsk, a source in the Tomsk administration of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office Investigation Committee on Thursday; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
"The injured, one of whom is in a grave condition, have been hospitalised," the source said.
According to the source, the explosion occurred when the researchers were crushing polymer materials with liquid nitrogen on the DIK-1 installation.
Investigation into the causes of the accident is underway; Kazinform cites Itar-Tass.
