Three people shot dead during trial in Hunan, China
SHANGHAI. June 1. KAZINFORM Three people have been shot dead during a trial in China's southern Hunan province, say reports; Kazinform refers to BBC News.
Officials told the BBC the attacker had been involved in the trial in Yongzhou, but it was not clear in what capacity.
The man later killed himself, state media reported. The court has been sealed off by armed police and bodies are still reported to be inside.
Correspondents say shootings are relatively rare in China, as few people have access to firearms.
The shooting happened during just before 1000 (0200 GMT) at the Lingling District People's Court, said Xinhua.
The BBC's Chris Hogg in Shanghai says three other people were also reported to have been injured in the attack.
