Three passengers manage to escape from aircraft crash in Tehran

TEHRAN. KAZINFORM - Some 45 people were killed and three injured in a plane crash in Tehran, Mehr reported on Aug. 10 with reference to Iran's police chief Ismail Ahmadi Moghaddam.

"The surveillance cameras in the city recorded the crash," he added. Iranian media reported that three passengers managed to jump out of a plane and escape, according to Trend. az. Moghaddam also added that according to the preliminary version, the crash occurred due to ignition in one of the aircraft engines. A passenger aircraft owned by Sepahan airline crashed in Tehran on Aug. 10, IRNA agency reported earlier with reference to the Iranian airlines. "There were 8 crew members and 40 passengers on board, including three children," Director of Iran's Airports Company, subsidiary of Iran's Road and Urban ministry, Mohammad Ali Ilkhani said. The AN-140 aircraft flying to Tabas town crashed while taking off from the Mehrabad airport.
