Three more H1N1 cases confirmed in central China school

CHANGSHA. August 10. KAZINFORM Three formerly suspected cases of A/H1N1 have been confirmed in a school in central China's Hunan Province, said an official of the provincial health bureau Monday, Kazinform refers to Xinhua.

This brings to 16 the total number of students confirmed to have A/H1N1 influenza at Yongzhou No.1 Middle School, in Yongzhou city in the south of Hunan, according to the bureau.

    The outbreak of A/H1N1 flu in the school was reported Saturday. Last Monday students at the school began to develop flu symptoms such as fever, headaches, coughs and running noses. Thirteen were tested H1N1 positive Saturday.

    The school has about 3,000 students and teachers. Although it is summer vacation, some students were having extra lessons at the school before the outbreak. All additional lessons were cancelled after the incident, Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.chinaview.cn for full version.
