Citing police sources, local broadcaster Europe1 said the bodies of two climbers and their guide were discovered near the "Aiguille du Midi" peak, which rises to a height of 3,842 meters, Xinhua informs.

According to preliminary investigations, the weather would not be the cause of the accident, the report added.

Four men, a woman and their guide were found dead last Wednesday on Mont Blanc, Europe's highest mountain, most likely due to poor weather conditions.
