Thousands of Kazakh villages will be provided with high-speed Internet

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The first phase of the project to provide access to high speed Internet using fiber-optic networks in rural areas will require 55 billion tenge, this has been announced today at a meeting in the Majilis by Vice-Minister for Investment and Development Askar Zhumagaliyev.

"Today, government agencies are developing a great project "fiber-optic networks in rural areas". The cost of the project's first stage is about 55 billion tenge," said A. Zhumagaliyev at a meeting of the Committee for Social and Cultural Development. He explained that the creation of fiber-optic networks in Kazakhstan will take three years. A.Zhumagaliyev also said that during this period thousands of Kazakh villages will be provided with high-speed Internet.
