This year inflation the lowest in years of independence -National Bank

ALMATY. December 18. KAZINFORM - In November of this year the country's inflation was at 0.5%, that has been said at the press conference by the chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Kairat Kelimbetov.

"The food prices increased by 0.7 %, for industrial output by 0.4%. Tariffs for paid services have grown by 0.4 %", said K.Kelimbetov.

He noted that in November this year the annual inflation rate was 4.7% . Groceries in the last 12 months have risen by 3.4%, food prices by 2.9% and the paid services - by 8.2%.

In January-November this year inflation stood at 4.1%. Groceries from the beginning became more expensive by 2.5%, non-food products' prices by 2.6% and the paid services - by 7.5%.

These are the lowest figures for the years of independence, said K.Kelimbetov .
