There are latent forms of gender inequality – G. Abdykalikova
ASTANA. July 27. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ "Strengthening of Institutional Potential of State Bodies on Women, Family and Population Policy" Training for the secretaries of commissions on women, family and population policy has started in Astana today; Kazinform correspondent reports.
According to Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Gulshara Abdykalikova the Head of the State noted that the women of our country should take an active part in political and social life of the country.
According to G. Abdykalikova "there are latent forms of gender inequality, in particular in the sum of the salary because the labor compensation for women is 15-20 per cent less than for men".
The Minister noted that the trainings are scheduled for three years and are held under the aegis of the UNDP. The issues of gender inequality, gender sensitive society as well as the issues of population and family policy.
