There are 210 Councils of mothers in Kazakhstan - Y.Tugzhanov
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Currently in Kazakhstan operate 210 councils of mothers, this has been announced today by the deputy chairman of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan, Head of the Secretariat of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan under the Presidential Administration Yeraly Tugzhanov.
"210 councils of mothers, at provincial, district, and rural levels, operate across Kazakhstan. Regional councils include about 335 people, most of whom are heads of ethnocultural associations, representatives of non-governmental sector, institutions of culture and education, activists of women's organizations", said Tugzhanov at the first forum of the republican council of mothers on tolerance in the family. According to him, the Council's meetings discuss the problems of harmonious relationships within the family, the role of socialization, education of children and adolescents, maternal health, women's rights, the formation of a tolerant attitude in the family, keeping traditions, language and culture. The forum was attended by delegates from all regions of Kazakhstan. There were reps of the state bodies and NGOs, members of Kazakhstan's Parliament, as well as mass media. The event is organized by the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan jointly with the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
