Theologists help Atyrau region prevent terrorism spread

ASTANA. KAZONFORM "Five highly experienced imams help the Atyrau region in its efforts to prevent religious extremism and terrorism spread in the region," Baktykozha Imukhambetov told a briefing at the Central Communications Service in Astana.
According to him, the region reports neither increase in the number of adherents of non-conventional religions nor a terror act since the last year. "Lots of public awareness efforts were carried out among the youth and work to form negative perception of non-traditional religions," he added.
