The UAE Supreme Court President a guest of honor at VI Congress of Judges of Kazakhstan
ABU DHABI. November 11. KAZINFORM - Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates Kairat Lama Sharif held in Abu Dhabi a meeting with the President of the Supreme Court of the United Arab Emirates Dr. Abdul AbdelUahab.
During the meeting Mr Sharif gave Mr.Lama Abdul the official invitation of the President of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan Kairat Mami to participate as a guest of honor at the VI Congress of Judges of Kazakhstan, which is scheduled for November 20 in Astana. The invitation has been accepted with gratitude.
Kazakh diplomat briefed on the judicial system of Kazakhstan, which is based on the principles of genuine independence of the judiciary, effective public scrutiny of civil society over the legality of the administration of justice.
Dr. Abdel Uahab Abdul, in turn, said that the UAE operates a two-tier court system: courts of first instance and the Supreme Court, which is competent to review the various disputes between the emirates as well as individual subjects of the federation with the Government of the United Arab Emirates.
Moreover, the Supreme Court of the United Arab Emirates shall interpret provisions of the Constitution and determine the compliance of federal laws with the basic law of the country. In this case, the Supreme Court shall be final and binding on the entire territory of the emirates.
