The number of abandoned children is reducing in Astana
ASTANA. January 18. KAZINFORM Dana Zholdybayeva moved to the Baby house quite recently, the baby is not even two months old. Her mother abandoned her in the hospital. The girl is a premature newborn with a perinatal nervous system disturbance. However, since she got here she feels much better and is gaining weight rapidly.
Gulnar Kulusheva, the chief physician in the specialized Baby house, Astana city: "As of today the budget is very good, the state takes care of children very well. In the morning the children have breakfast, do hygiene procedures. After that there are specialists, Montessori room, speech therapists, the children go to doctors. After that if a consultation by a specialized doctor is necessary for a child, we register him/her in advance". The Baby house is designed for 100 children, kids live and study here since they are born and until they turn 4 years of age, after that the children move to orphanages for older children. Today they are one family, they eat, sleep and cry together. They want only one thing - the warmth of the mother. But, fortunately, the number of such children reduces year after year.
