The initiative of People’s Assembly considers internal and external factors - Chinese State Council think tank expert
BEIJING. KAZINFORM - Initiative of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan on holding early presidential elections considers internal and external factors, such an opinion has been expressed by Professor Zhao Changqing, deputy director of the Institute of Eurasian Social Development of the Development Research Center of China's State Council.
"This initiative is a prudent step which took into account the requirements of changes in internal and external situations. In terms of domestic policy, your country has put major tasks in "Kazakhstan-2050" Strategy and in the new economic policy "Nurly Zhol - The path to the future". The main condition for their realization is stability," he said. In terms of foreign policy one of the factors that lead to the need for the presidential election is the crisis in politics and economy. According to Zhao Changqing, within 23 years of independence under the leadership of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan has rapidly developed and become an influential player on the world stage. "Kazakhstan is the strongest country in Central Asia. It makes positive impact on the solution of international problems. For example, the role of President Nursultan Nazarbayev in resolving the Ukrainian crisis has been recognized by French President Francois Hollande, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and other politicians. Thus, Kazakhstan not only maintains its economic growth and stability but makes a great contribution to regional security," he stressed. "I hope and believe that Kazakhstan will continue its development under the leadership of Nursultan Nazarbayev," summed up Zhao Changqing. Recall that the Development Research Center of the State Council is a state agency responsible for policy research, strategic review and consulting of issues related to the economic and social development on mainland China. It is an advisory body which recommends policies to CPC Central Committee and the State Council.
