Tennis Europe Junior Rankings: Akhmadi Makhanov moves up to eighth with Super Category title
Akhmadi Makhanov of Kazakhstan, made a jump of seven spots to rank 8th in the renewed Tennis Europe Boys U14 Ranking following a win at the 14&U Super Category event, the Kungens Kanna & Drottningen Pris in Stockholm, Sweden, Kazinform News Agency cites the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.
Akhmadi’s Super Category title made him one step closer to the 2025 Tennis Europe Junior Masters set to be held in Monte-Carlo, Monaco. The 13-year-old Kazakhstani currently occupies seventh spot in the Race to Monte-Carlo standings.
Kazakhstanis who broke the top-100 of Tennis Europe Junior Rankings are Khaknazar Zhetkerbay – 23rd, Amir Askar – 69th, Amina Nurmakhan – 83rd and Tamina Saken – 95th. Ansar Nietkaliyev of Kazakhstan is placed 83rd in the renewed Tennis Europe Boys U16 Ranking.
Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan’s Denis Yevseyev had reached the quarterfinals of the Thionville Open in France.
