Tengiz emissions reduced to 2.35 kg per ton of oil

ATYRAU. KAZINFORM - Tengiz emissions have been reduced to 2.35 kg per ton of oil, reported the press service of "Tengizchevroil".
Since 2000, investments aimed at protecting the environment, have reduced the total volume of flared gas by 93%. Currently TCO recycles more than 99% of gas. As a result, since 2000 the total specific volume of air emissions per ton of oil has been decreased by 72%. The average specific emissions of TCO per one ton of oil produced amounted to 2.35 kilograms from January to September 2014, informed the press service of the TCO.
