Ten militants killed in Russia's Dagestan

MOSCOW. September 29. KAZINFORM Ten militants have been killed in two security operations in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Dagestan, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee said Wednesday. Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
"Ten members of criminal armed groups sustained fatal wounds in the fighting. The active phases of the counter-terror operations is continuing," the committee was quoted by Interfax news agency as saying.
Violence is common in Russia's mainly Muslim North Caucasus republics, especially Chechnya, Dagestan and Ingushetia, with militants frequently targeting police and officials as representatives of Russian authorities. Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.xinhuanet.com
