Tashkent held seminar on public-private partnership for CA countries

ASTANA. August 4. KAZINFORM A seminar entitled "Development and assessment of infrastructure projects within public-private partnership" has been held in Tashkent for the Central Asian countries. The event was organized by the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Uzbekistan and State Committee for Demonopolization and Competition Development together with the UNDP project "Business Forum of Uzbekistan" and the UN Economic Commission for Europe.

Director of the Department for PPP Development of the Kazakhstan Center of Public-Private Partnership JSC Nazgul Nurkenova took part in the seminar.

The event aimed at upgrading the public servants' and businessmen's knowledge of development and realization of infrastructure projects within the public-private partnership.

The seminar participants focused on the state and prospects of development of the mechanism of public-private partnership in implementation of infrastructure projects in housing and utilities sector, road construction and domestic waste processing for Uzbekistan.

Representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and foreign experts made reports.
