Tashkent celebrated 20th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov addressed the event. "Today it is a great holiday countrywide. We mark an unforgettable historical date - the 20^th anniversary of independence of Uzbekistan. Today there are many examples of our achievements over the past period. Over 20 years Uzbekistan's economy increased by almost 3.4 times, average wage - by 14 times, total revenue - ninefold. I express gratitude to all our foreign friends, who supports us, renders assistance, fruitfully cooperates with us," the Uzbek President said.
