Talks on CU establishment require additional coordination - K. Massimov
SAINT PETERSBURG. May 22. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ The negotiations on establishment of the Customs Union require additional coordination. Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov said it at a briefing following the talks with his Russian and Belarusian counterparts in Saint Petersburg.
"The negotiations on establishment of the Customs Union require additional coordination since all issues are of great importance for our economies", he said.
According to him, the expert groups will continue discussions after which the prime ministers of three countries will meet again.
In turn, Chairman of the Russian Government Vladimir Putin said: "Kazakhstan is interested in the volume of the goods imported by individuals; Russia is keen on development of its auto industry. If we move from our positions now amid crisis our auto industry will face great losses".
"As for Belarus, it has its own important sectors which must be developed too", V. Putin continued.
"We have not coordinated all issues yet", the Russian PM stressed.
"The issues are quite serious. We will continue working on them, since the decisions to adopted on them will influence the situation almost in all sectors of our economies", he added.
As is known, the session of the supreme body of the Customs Union took place Friday morning.
