Taldykorgan twinned with the Chinese city of Yining

TALDYKORGAN. December 3. KAZINFORM - Akim of Taldykorgan Ermek Alpysov has paid a working visit to the Chinese city of Yining.
During the visit the Akim inspected the greenhouse complex, enterprise collecting municipal waste, the city administration and studied Yining General Development Plan until 2030.
Yining (Ghulja) is an urban county in the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region of China, the administrative center of the Ili-Kazakh Autonomous area. The city is located on the north bank of the Ili River about 100 km east of China's border with Kazakhstani Almaty region on the so-called Ghulja plain. The name of the city in Turkic means: Құlzha - "adult male of argali".
