Taldykol waste pond in Astana to be liquidated in 2016 - President

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev made such an instruction at the session on further development of the Kazakh capital on Friday. "We will stop the disposal of waste waters into Taldykol this year. The waste pond itself will be liquidated in 2016. We cannot postpone the liquidation any longer, since Astana will host the major EXPO event in 2017," the President said at the session. During the session, President Nazarbayev also instructed to ensure stable water supply for the Kazakh capital in next 10 years.
