Takeda seeks gov’t OK to distribute Moderna COVID vaccine in Japan

TOKYO. KAZINFORM - Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. said Friday it has filed a request for approval from Japan's health ministry to distribute U.S. biotechnology firm Moderna Inc.'s COVID-19 vaccine in the country, Kyodo reports.

Under an agreement with the Japanese government, Takeda plans to supply 50 million doses of the Moderna vaccine, enough for 25 million people.
