Tajikistan's industrial output surges by 20% in 2024, reaching TJS53.8bln
Tajikistan’s Ministry of Industry and New Technologies unveiled the country’s industrial output for 2024, Kazinform News Agency reports.
According to Khovar, the country's industrial output in 2024 amounted to 53.8 billion somoni which is 20% or 7.5 billion somoni more than in 2023.
The share of industries in the total volume of industrial output in 2024 looks as follows: 34% - mining industry, over 17% - electrical power, over 8% - machine building, 5.4% - light industry, 1% - printing industry, 0.3% - oil and gas, 21.3% - food industry, 7.3% - construction sector, 3% - cotton-cleaning industry, 1.2% - coal industry and 0.4% - water sector.
As reported, Tajikistan plans to establish a Road Fund to pay for the building and maintenance of the country’s road network.
