The government adopted the resolution on July 1, 2026, with the aim of supporting tourism service providers and developing the industry.
Funding sources include a 5% tax on tour packages sold to Tajik citizens traveling abroad, a tourist tax on foreign visitors' domestic travel packages, fees for permits to provide tourism services, fines for tax evasion, deposit income, as well as grants and targeted funds from international financial institutions.
The Fund’s resources will be directed toward building and upgrading tourism infrastructure, personnel training and social support, improving service quality, and promotingTajikistan’s tourism potential internationally.
Management of the Fund is entrusted to a 13-member Council, headed by the Chairman of the Tourism Development Committee and his First Deputy. The Council also includes deputy ministers, agency heads, and a representative of a tourism public association.
