Tajikistan shows much interest in Customs Union, Eurasian Economic Union

DUSHANBE. KAZINFORM - Tajikistan shows much interest in the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Union, speaker of the Russian Federation Council, upper house of parliament, Valentina Matviyenko said.
"Tajikistan is studying, observing and thinking. As a sovereign state, it has the right to make a decision on its own," Matviyenko said after a meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rakhmonov on Thursday, Itar-Tass reports. "The Economy Ministry and other agencies are calculating the effects of Tajikistan's accession to the Customs Union. A decision has not been made so far," she said. "We hope that Tajikistan's decision will be positive," Matviyenko concluded.
