Tajik deputy PM dies during inspection tour: sources
DUSHANBE. August 3. KAZINFORM Tajikistan's First Deputy Prime Minister Asadullo Gulomov died suddenly Wednesday during a trip to a hydroelectric power station in the country's south, government sources told Xinhua. Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
His unexpected death occurred on a helicopter en route to the hydroelectric power station in Rogun, other sources said. The government has set up an investigation panel to identify the cause of his death.
Born on Feb. 28, 1954, Gulomov was appointed Tajikistan's deputy prime minister in charge of economic affairs in 2003. In December 2006, he assumed the office of the first deputy prime minister.
