Supreme Court Chairman B. Beknazarov met with Peter Hall
ASTANA. May 11. KAZINFORM Chairman of Supreme Court of Kazakhstan Bektas Beknazarov met with representative of the International Association of Judges, federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit Peter Hall. The meeting was organized within his official visit to Kazakhstan, the press service of the Supreme Court informs.
The purpose of the visit is preparing a report on judicial system of Kazakhstan which will become a part of the consideration at the 54th meeting of the Association in Turkey this September. The decision regarding the application of the Union of Judges of Kazakhstan on becoming a legitimate member of the Association will be made at the meeting in Turkey.
B. Beknazarov told the guest about the judicial system of Kazakhstan, its improvement and humanization of criminal legislation. 'The system is in the progress of improvement. A lot of measures on increasing the quality of justice, training of judges, judges exchange are taken now in the country,' B. Beknazarov noted.
Chairman of the Constitutional Council of Kazakhstan Igor Rogov noted that Kazakhstan had an European model of constitutional control.
P. Hall, in his turn, told about the activity of the Association he represents.
The Chairman of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan noted that the accession of the Union of Judges of Kazakhstan to the International Association was a priority.
