Support of S Kazakhstan to be permanent - Akhmetov

ASTANA. November 1. KAZINFORM Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov paid a working visit to South Kazakhstan region.

Serik Akhmetov attended an ice event, devoted to the 80th anniversary of South Kazakhstan region and read a congratulatory telegram on behalf of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Addressing the participants of the solemn meeting, the Prime Minister noted the high socio-economic indicators of the region.

"158 educational institutions have been built, 133 health facilities have been opened, 170 localities have been furnished with water, the pipeline has been built in 79 villages,  about four thousand kilometers of roads have been repaired in South Kazakhstan over the past three years."

Prime Minister Akhmetov assured that "such support of the South Kazakhstan region by the President, and the Government will be implemented permanently."

Besides, during the trip, Serik Akhmetov also laid flowers at the monument "Baydibek bi." The monument to the outstanding Khan Baydibek Bi, who ruled for 66 years and made ​​a significant contribution to the foundation of the state, is located in the new administrative center of Shymkent.
