Summit of Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States to begin in Almaty

MATY. October 21. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ Today the first Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States will start its work in Almaty.

The presidents of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan will attend it.

Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan canceled his trip to the Summit in the connection with the terrorist attacks in the southeast. TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kaseinov and Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries Ramil Gassanov are also invited to the event.

It is planned to discuss topical issues of international and regional character, main priorities of expansion of trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the Turkic-speaking states.

The Almaty Declaration will be signed following results of the Summit.
