Subway car designed with posters depicting contribution of Kazakhstanis to Great Victory launched in St. Petersburg metro
MOSCOW. KAZINFORM - The first subway car designed with posters depicting the contribution of Kazakhstanis to the Great Victory left "Avtovo" station in St. Petersburg within the campaign called "One victory for all".
The campaign was initiated by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia with the participation of the General Consulate of Kazakhstan in St Petersburg and was initiated to honor the memory of those heroes who fought for us and preserve the historic justice and not to let the misinterpretation of the historical evidence happen.
"All the people of Kazakhstan congratulate the veterans of the Great Patriotic War on the 70 th anniversary of the Victory and wish peace, prosperity, strong health and longevity," the statement of the General Consulate reads.
The posters tell about the way the Heroes of the Soviet Union went those are Talgat Begeldinov, Aliya Moldagulova and Manshuk Mametova, the Panfivov Division, Kazakhstan soldiers who stormed the Reichstag Building. They also tell about the evacuation of the plants and factories to Kazakhstan from the European part of the USSR, the press service of the Embassy informs.
Several posters are dedicated to blockade of Leningrad where people received help from Kazakhstan.
"The posters tell about many feats of those who fought for us. More than one and a half million people were mobilized. 500 of them are the Heroes of the USSR. More than a half of them did not come back home. Therefore, we would like people to remember it," Acting General Consul of Kazakhstan in St. Petersburg Yermer Primbetov noted.
These subway cars will be running for two weeks on routes 1, 2 and 3.
