Stroke centre opens in Uralsk
URALSK. December 28. KAZINFORM - In Uralsk a stroke center with 30 beds opened, reports our own correspondent Elzhan Yeraly from Uralsk.
Deputy Governor of West Kazakhstan region Baktiyar Maken, who attended the opening of the institution, said that the new institution would play an important role in the quality and surgical treatment of cardiovascular disease.
Stroke center is located on the ground floor of the first therapeutic building of Regional Hospital. Patients of the center, which will function around the clock, will be able to use the services of a computer tomography, diagnostic X-ray, ultrasound, and a laboratory. The structure of the center consists of offices in operational therapy, rehabilitation of stroke patients. Patients will be monitored by a neurologist, a neurosurgeon, lab technicians, radiologists and other specialists.
Experts of the stroke center have increased skills in leading clinics of Kazakhstan, Russia, and learnt modern methods of treatment.
As part of the opening ceremony there was also a presentation of 9 reanimobiles intended to provide emergency care in the city.
