Strike of lightning causes crude oil tank fire

YEKATERINBURG. August 24. KAZINFORM A strike of lightning is believed to be the main cause of an explosion at a crude oil tank in Yugra, the Urals regional centre of the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported, Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
"The explosion destroyed tank No.7. The fire that followed spread to tanks 5 and 8. Tanks 1, 2 and 4 are being cooled," the source said.
According to clarified reports, three people have been hurt in the fire. More than 200,000 square meters are now in flames, Kazinform cites Itar-Tass. See www.itar-tass.com for full version.
