Strengthening of faith, justice and morals - main task for religious leaders

ANA. July 1. KAZINFORM. /Narymbek Ismagulov/ "Main task of religious leaders is to strengthen faith, justice and morals by a constructive method", Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel Yona Metzger has noted in his speech at the III Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Astana today.
He stressed there is no religion to stand against peace, love and faith. "We stand for distribution of these values", he said.
Mr. Metzger appealed to all leaders of world and traditional religions "not to use holy temples as centers of terror spread. They should not be used as arms storages."
He also called on the participants to apply best efforts in order to liquidate and eliminate the literature promoting violence and hatred.
